Our Story
We’re Ian and Aly and this is Our Tiny Treasure!
We love tiny things. We celebrate our love for all things tiny by using them in art. Our flatlay “troves” combine tiny objects, found trash, and flora and fauna to create 3D “illustrations” which are photographed and disassembled.
The troves are not digitally altered beyond enhancing the black background and removing small imperfections (stray dog hairs, schmutz, etc.). We also do not paint or alter the color of the objects themselves. What you see are actual objects from our collection.
Our Passion
What began as a way to pass time during the pandemic turned into a form of creative expression. Our passion for collecting tchotchkes and sentimental objects fueled our hunt; we now have a studio of meticulously organized tiny things. We’re constantly trying to expand the way we use them to create interesting or meaningful art.
Our studio is in our home in Queen Village, Philadelphia, where we live with our two dogs, Macho and Nike.
